Lady Indian Softball

2013 - We finished the year 12-5 (we had 9 games rained out !) and were Co-Champs of the Central Indiana Conference.  This was the first championship since the mid 90's for Mississinewa. It was great to be a part of that !  Probably the highlight of the season was our CIC clinching game with Oak Hill  and defeating Madison Grant, two days after losing to them in the Grant 4.  I played primarily CF this season, also playing 3 games behind the plate.  I was fortunate to start and play every inning this year and will move to SS for 2014.  I hit .319 and led the team in stolen bases and triples.  My highlight was at Alexandria, where I threw 2 people out from CF, including the game ending potential tying run at home and being named Honorable Mention All County by the Marion Chronicle !!!!!  I cant wait to hit the field in 2014 !

2014 -  Season over !!!  Finished 12-12, lost to Columbia City in the Sectional.  Had high hopes for this season, but we just couldnt get over the hump !  Very close in many games, just couldnt close them out.  Saddest part of season, is I lose my sister, Karli, to graduation.  She has been a rock for Ole Miss for 4 years and had a great career, she will be hard to replace.  Personally it has been a decent year.  I played SS all season and finished with a .886 fielding pct.  Tough position, but I love it, half way thru year, we changed 2d basemen.  Cassie Horton is a sophomore and I look forward to growing with her, the next 2 years.  Hitting I ended up with a .471 BA  40-85, scored 32 runs, had 25 SB and  12 RBI's . I led the county in Runs and SB.   My job is to get on base, so Im gonna work on my discipline at the plate.  I was honored by making 1st Team CIC and 1st Team All Grant County
